A court’s heard a man’s alleged to have punched his partner and threatened her life with a knife.
Christopher Quilliam of Watterson Close in Douglas appeared before Deputy High Bailiff James Brooks at Douglas Courthouse.
The 50 year old is facing one count each of assault and affray at his home on February 22 but hasn’t yet entered pleas.
Prosecutor Roger Kane told the hearing police were called to his home at around 10pm and saw him brandishing a three-inch kitchen knife, making threats.
The hearing was told Mr Quilliam was very drunk at the time.
There was no application for bail and Mr Brooks remanded him in custody until he’s next due to appear in court on March 3.
