A court’s heard a man staying in the Island’s bail hostel is alleged to have breached an order banning him from having photos of children.
Andrew Mark Byrne of David Gray House denied breaching a Sexual Offences Prevention Order when he appeared before High Bailiff Jayne Hughes at Douglas Courthouse.
Prosecutor Rachael Braidwood said Mr Byrne had used a communal computer at the facility and another resident had alerted staff to his browsing history.
Police examined the machine and discovered searches for child actor Ellis Naylor and child modelling agencies as well as photos of children on a Pinterest account.
Under the terms of the order imposed in 2013, Mr Byrne cannot posses any images of children under 16.
Mrs Hughes remanded him in custody and he’ll appear in court again on July 2 for a pre- trial review.
