A Douglas man who was sprayed with incapacitant by police has been handed a hefty fine.
38 year old Michael James Thomas Smith of Belmont Terrace was arrested outside the Copper Still at Banks Circus on June 16.
Officers told him to leave, but he swore and was Pava sprayed when he tried to pull away.
He admitted being drunk and disorderly and resisting arrest.
Magistrates fined him £750 and ordered him to pay £125 costs.
