A man who headbutted a bar owner will be sentenced in June.
Sean Thomas Patrick O’Neill of Ballahane Close in Port Erin appeared before magistrates at Douglas Courthouse.
The 33 year old admitted assault causing actual bodily harm and disorderly behaviour on licensed premises on September 12 last year.
Prosecutor Barry Swain told the hearing O’Neill had been drinking at the Riddler Under the Nest at the Falcon’s Nest Hotel in Port Erin at around 1.30am when he got into an argument with a man playing pool.
When the owner tried to calm the situation, O’Neill headbutted him before being thrown out - he was later arrested and told police he was so drunk he couldn’t remember the incident.
Magistrates asked for pre-sentencing reports to be prepared and bailed O’Neill to appear in court again on June 9.
