Manx Care are set to trial a new process where patients are informed of their appointments six weeks prior to the appointment date.
It's in a bid to greatly reduce the amount of letters patients receive, and its predicted to reduce confusion, and hopefully the numbers of people who don't turn up for appointments.
Appointments will continue to be booked in the usual way, with the timing the letter is sent out set to be the only change.
It's all part of an overall focus to improve efficiencies within Manx Care.
The 6 week pilot run will start on Monday.
