    Manx Gas announce price hikes

Manx Gas has announced that they have to increase their tarrifs from 10th May.

The price of natural gas will increase by 0.54p a unit, that’s a rise of 8.2%.

It’s estimated that this will cost the average domestic natural gas customer an additional £54 a year, based on 10,000 units consumed.

The price of Liquid Petroleum Gas will be increasing by 0.64 pence per unit, signifying an additional £64 a year for the customer.

Manx Gas Director John Davies has said the action has been forced upon them in light of ever increasing prices of wholesale energy prices.

The Office of Fair Trading has been informed of the new tariffs.
