Manx drinkers will help decide on the fate of the Campaign for Real Ale today.
The first meeting to determine CAMRA's future coincides with the start of the the Isle of Man Beer Festival at the Villa Marina.
The organisation has become one of the largest consumer groups in the world after 45 years gathering 180,000 members - over 200 are based here.
However it's been criticised for its lack of inclusivity for other beverages - attendees will advise on its direction in promoting the protection of traditional real ale.
Founding member Michael Hardman explains the premise of the meeting:
Around £16.5k in expenses to non-governmental board members
