Manx views wanted over free TV licences

Island residents are being invited to have their say over free TV licences for the over 75s.

The BBC has launched a public consultation today asking for views on the matter from people living on the Isle of Man, Jersey and Guernsey.

The licences are currently free here until the end of this year, and from August 1 in the UK any household with someone aged over 75 who's receiving Pension Credit will be eligible for a free licence paid for by the BBC.

Those interested in taking part have until September 10 to do so, the survey is available via the link here.
