A memorial to a police officer who died during a Manx Grand Prix race in the 70s will be unveiled this weekend.
PC Denis Hamer was killed while on duty in 1976 when a rider lost control of their motorbike, which hit him at great speed on Strang Road.
A lasting memorial has been created to him, which will be revealed at a service at Union Mills Methodist Chapel this morning.
The short service will be led by the Lieutenant Governor and begins at 11am.
