Police officers have created a memorial area at Police Headquarters to honour officers who have died.
Last week the first memorial was introduced to the site on Dukes Avenue - a tree in memory of former sergeant Andrew Pailor.
He died in December 2015 after a battle with cancer.
Sergeant Pailor's wife and two children joined other officers to plant a holly tree next to the Emergency Services Joint Control Room.
It's believed benches will be placed in the area giving staff a place to sit and reflect.
A spokesperson for the Isle of Man Constabulary says the planting of the tree, which is symbolic of new life, "always brings new hope".
