Two men were assaulted in Douglas on Saturday afternoon whilst "innocently going about their business".
Police say the unprovoked attack happened on Broadway at around 2.45pm and left one of the men needing hospital treatment.
Another man, who also damaged a number of vehicles in the area, has since been charged with numerous offences including assault and criminal damage.
He appeared in court yesterday where he was remanded in custody - he will appear again on February 3rd.
Police say they still want to speak to anyone who saw what happened including a man who was walking his dog at the time who could have also been assaulted.
