A rider who crashed during this year's TT says he won't be racing on the Mountain circuit again.
Steve Mercer came off at the 11t h Milestone during a practice session and was taken to Noble's Hospital - but wasn't seriously injured.
He revealed after he arrived back at the Grandstand, his five year old son asked him whether he could be killed racing.
In a Facebook post, Steve says the question hit home - and it's taken the enjoyment out of competing.
In his post, the Maidstone rider says he has a family that needs him, and they're more important than motorcycle racing.
He says he's enjoyed his time competing but says he doesn't want to push hard on a road and take massive risks.
He says he'll now concentrate on short circuit racing and enduro events.
