An Onchan MHK wants to make sure the Island is following new criteria for areas of land where culled cattle are buried.
Many animals were killed in the mid 1990s when cases of BSE peaked.
Peter Karran has tabled a question on the subject in Tynwald this week.
He'll ask Environment, Food and Agriculture Minister Phil Gawne if there are any plans to test the BSE pits to determine whether they pose a health risk to the public.
