How many children on the Isle of Man don’t speak English as a first language?
That’s a question being posed by Onchan MHK Peter Karran in the House of Keys today.
He wants to know how many pupils in each school use English as a second language.
Education and Children Minister Tim Crookall will also be asked to explain what resources are devoted to assisting these children.
West Douglas MHK Chris Thomas has also tabled a number of questions for the Minister – he wants to know if the department expects to see an increase in the number of students being educated at home.
The sitting starts at 10am.
