    MHK wants more languages taught in schools

    Island children need to have the tools to find their place in the global economy - and that starts with being taught languages in schools.

     That's according to Onchan MHK Zac Hall who is continuing to campaign for changes to replace French and German with languages like Spanish and Mandarin. 
     
    He's sent a letter to the Education and Children Minister Tim Crookall - who's yet to respond to his pleas for a progress report on the matter. 
     
    Mr Hall says a move to '21st century languages' is crucial to the Island's position as a competitive jurisdiction:
