Minimum wage changes on the way?

The government says it's planning changes to the way the minimum wage is calculated from next year.

A review into how the figure is arrived at has now been finished, and recommends the level be set at two-thirds of the Island's median earning figure.

It's hoped the new figure will come into force from April next year.

Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says the proposals will be debated in Tynwald in July.
