Economic Development Minister Laurence Skelly has promised more rises in the minimum wage - depending on the committee that oversees it.
In Tynwald this week, he was asked about the rates the Island guarantees by Middle MHK Bill Shimmin.
Mr Skelly said in the past few years, rates have risen by 13 per cent - and his aim is to stay ahead of rates in the UK.
He said it's essential those in the lowest-paid jobs see their earnings keep pace with inflation:
