Enterprise Minister Tim Johnston says the cost of getting into the Island's historic sites is up to Manx National Heritage.
This week in Tynwald he faced questions about prices from Onchan MHK Julie Edge, who said she'd heard complaints about paying £15.50 to go up the Laxey Wheel.
Mr Johnston said MNH offered free admission for children and reduced prices for students.
But he said the pricing policy was something that was set by the organisation itself:
