Minister maintains faith in running of prison

Juan Watterson has reaffirmed his faith in the prison service at Jurby and has supported the staff entirely.

Talking to 3FM, the Home Affairs outlined stark contrasts between the new site and the former Victoria Road building.

The minister did highlight some issues with the current level of inmates in the Isle of Man and what he'd like to see moving forward.

This came off the back of last week's announcement that a streamlining of the current criminal justice system is under way (audio above).
