Minister targets bullying in schools

The Education Minister has said tackling bullying in schools is right at the top of his agenda as he looks towards 2012.

Speaking to 3FM, Peter Karran said he plans to see bullying issues specifically targeted throughout all the island’s schools and once again make school ‘the best days’ of a young person’s life.

The Liberal Vannin leader said he wanted to see teachers and senior school officials meet with both bullies and victims so as to keep a closer watch on developments and immediately tackle the issues (see audio).
