Bendy buses will not be used on the Island if a four week trial period is not deemed a success.
That’s according to Community, Culture and Leisure Minister Graham Cregeen who says his department hasn’t committed to buying them.
Concerns over the safety of the articulated vehicles were raised by MHKs once again in the House of Keys this week.
They’re worried about the number of children who would have to stand up on them if they’re used on school routes.
North Douglas MHK John Houghton is firmly against their introduction however his request for a select committee to be set up to investigate was rejected:
