Efforts are underway to create more parking at the northern end of Douglas Promenade.
Those behind the refurbishment scheme there say work is being undertaken to provide spaces on the walkway at Strathallan and King Edward Road and at Summerland to assist residents and businesses in the area.
Meanwhile, temporary traffic lights are currently in place between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day including weekends to allow the contractor to complete works before the start of the TT.
The areas they currently affect are at Queens Promenade, Strathallan Crescent and Summerhill.
