    More than £2m paid by gov to reduce carbon footprints

    The government says it's paid more than £2 million in grants to reduce people's carbon footprints.

    A Freedom of Information request to the Department for Enterprise asked for details on its green living grants scheme.

    The department says it's paid out 849 grants, with a total of £2,087,994.

    It also revealed it's carried out 4,266 home energy audits costing a total of £953,550.
