The rider of the motorcycle was taken to Nobles Hospital where he was detained. The driver of the other vehicle was uninjured.
A motorbike and a heavy goods vehicle were involved in a road traffic collision on the Main Douglas to Ballasalla road yesterday afternoon.
At approximately 4.40pm a black and blue BMW R1200 and a yellow Colas Wagon collided with each other.
The incident happened near to the Santon Railway Station.

The road was closed for approximately three hours whilst Police conducted enquiries at the scene.
Police would like to speak to the occupants of a yellow coloured MG ZR that was travelling towards Ballasalla at the time of the collision.
