Motorists warned about sun glare whilst driving

As the Island enters Spring, motorists are being warned about the effects the glare of the sun can have on driving.

The Island's Roads Policing Unit says this can be a common problem from this time of year and can reduce visibility for all road users which means hazards can be harder to spot.

As a result, officers are advising people to ensure their windscreens are clean, slow down and drive to conditions.

They also suggest residents should consider wearing polarized sunglasses if this is the case.
