The government says the Island's two big motorsport festivals brought in £31 million to the economy this year.
A survey into the Festival of Motorcycling by the Department for Enterprise says visitor numbers rose three per cent to more than 16,000.
It means the total number of people coming for TT or the Festival of Motorcycling rose by 3,000 to 61,272 visitors in 2017.
The average visitor to the Festival of Motorcycling stayed for a week and spent £612 on their trip.
