The department of infrastructure had planned to close the A18 between Ramsey and Creg Ny Baa today (Monday), tomorrow and Wednesday.
However, a spokesman said high winds mean lifting operations cannot go ahead today.
The revised closure schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday between 09.30 to 16.30.
