    Murder trial begins today

    The trial of a Castletown man who is accused of murder starts today.

    45-year-old Ian Anderson is charged with killing Ballabeg man Neil Roberts in 2013. 
     
    The 60-year-old was found dead at a property in Castletown - the offence is alleged to have been committed between November 29th and December 2nd. 
     
    Anderson, who is currently remanded at the Isle of Man Prison, has pleaded not guilty to the charge - and to a separate offence of ABH. 
     
    Deemster Montgomerie will preside over the trial which could last for 25 days - proceedings get underway at 10.15am.
