Nationalists to commemorate Manx patriot today

The annual Illiam Dhone commemoration takes place at Hango Hill in Castletown today.

The celebrated Manx patriot was executed at the site on 2nd January 1663, this years ceremony will feature the traditional speeches delivered in both English and Manx.

Mec Vannin Chairman Mark Kermode will deliver the opening address, with Cesar Joughin and Alistair Kneale also on hand to deliver speeches.
