Ronaldsway says work on the new baggage replacement and x-ray systems is progressing well and on course for September’s deadline.
Work has now started which will interface with the old conveyor system at the check-in desks and may affect some passengers while checking-in hold luggage.
Work began at the beginning of April and most of the conveyor system has since been removed and the new structure to house the baggage make-up area can now be easily seen from the Departure Lounge.
In a fortnight’s time, this will then affect all of the check-in desks for a short period.
This particular work should be completed in early next month and will not affect those passengers with hand luggage only.
The Department of Infrastructure has thanked passengers in advance for their patience while these works to the conveyor system takes place.
