    New defibrillator in Douglas

A new public defibrillator has been installed in the Island’s capital.

Chief Minister Howard Quayle and Treasury Minister Alf Cannan have unveiled the latest machine outside Government Office on Bucks road in Douglas.

Over the past few years defibrillators have been installed all over the Island thanks to a joint initiative by the Isle of Man Ambulance Service, charity Craig’s Heartstrong Foundation and St John’s Ambulance.

The facility could mean the difference between life and death if someone suffers a cardiac arrest.
