Mannin Retail has applied to make changes to the Island's busiest filling station.
The company, based in Kewaigue, says it's already been given planning permission to extend the shop at the Milestone Garage.
But it now says those plans will be too expensive to put in place, and so has made a new planning application.
Under the proposals, the shop on the site would almost double in size.
In its application, Mannin Retail said it now wants a 70 square metre shop - previous plans had extended it to 163 square metres.
Under the current plans, there'd be space for three tills as well as an office and storage area.
But the company says the extended building would be no nearer to Peel Road than it is at present.
And it says its new plans would mean a new convenience store for Douglas - saying two nearby shops have been lost in recent years.
