Port St Mary Post Office has a new submaster.
David East will take over the position from Jeff Calvert on Monday, February 28.
The Post Office looked under threat after nobody applied to run it during a bidding process last September - but new bids were sent in a month later when the tender process was reopened.
The counter will continue to be run from inside the Examiner Shop newsagents, which has also been taken over by Mr East.
During the transition period there will be some changes to opening times:

Tues: 9am-12pm & 1pm-5.30pm
