Next Positive Action Group meeting, 'It's the Economy, Stupid' to be held on Monday

The Positive Action Group are building on their schedule of election themed public meetings on Monday with one based on the Isle of Man’s economy.

The Director of Taxation at KPMG will be on hand to consider ways of raising revenue for our economy, he will also be offering his insight into the Island’s current VAT position, aswell as possibly touching on the current CinemaNX controversy.

The title of the meeting is taken from the famous Bill Clinton’s famous phrase, ‘It’s the Economy Stupid.’

It’s one in a long line of meetings in the run up to September’s election geared toward giving voters a better understanding of the whole process, which in turn should inform their decision.

It will be held at the Manx Legion Club in Douglas on Monday, starting at 7.30pm.
