Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas says there are no plans to bridge the gender pay gap through law.
He faced questions in the House of Keys this week from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse about the issue.
Mr Thomas said the latest government earnings report was out in February, showing a 28 per cent difference between men and women's average wages.
However, he said the government currently has no plans to introduce legislation to tackle the problem.
