    No plans for 'Snooper's Charter' on the Isle of Man

    Surveillance laws from the UK, dubbed "the Snooper's Charter", won't be brought in on the Isle of Man.

    Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas told Tynwald this week the UK legislation could be extended to the Island if needed.

    But he said there were no plans to do so and current surveillance laws would be updated instead.

    Mr Thomas said the subject of who can be spied on by who - and under what circumstances - is bound to create debate:
