There are no plans to stop people getting married to their cousins on the Isle of Man.
In the UK, Tory MP for Basildon and Billericay Richard Holden is introducing a private members bill which would outlaw cousins marrying.
On the Island, there are restrictions under laws dating back to 1984 that ban people marrying parents - natural or adopted - along with aunts, uncles, nieces or nephews.
But if passed the UK laws won't apply here, and so cousins will still be able to wed.
