The Steam Packet Company says work on the new ferry terminal in Liverpool means vessels will instead sail to Heysham this weekend.
On its website, the company says Department of Infrastructure contractors will be carrying out work at the facility on Liverpool's Princes Half-Tide Dock on Saturday, November 8 and Sunday, November 9.
As a result, its timetabled sailings to Merseyside will instead go to and from Lancashire.
Coaches will then be on hand to take passengers between Liverpool and Heysham.
