November sentence date for man who hid cocaine

A Manchester man who hid over £7,500 of cocaine in a suitcase in his girlfriend's wardrobe will be sentenced next month.

35-year-old Ronald Heald, who's currently remanded at the Isle of Man Prison, appeared at Douglas Courthouse earlier this week.

Heald has previously pleaded guilty to possessing the Class A substance with intent to supply - police arrested him at a flat in Douglas on August 5th.

Earlier this week his girlfriend, 29-year-old Katie Blaymire, was handed a suspended prison sentence for knowingly permitting the supply of Class A drugs from her premises.

Forensic examinations have been concluded and social enquiry reports have been requested - Heald will be sentenced on November 5th.
