Over 300 complaints about gas billing issues have been made to the Office of Fair Trading since April.
That's according to former OFT Chairman John Wannenburgh, in response to a written Tynwald question.
He adds that 18 of the complainants were recorded as being 'vulnerable,' with most being distressed and confused as they hadn't received bills or couldn't understand them.
Complaints made by vulnerable customers are prioritized by the OFT, with home visits conducted and active engagement with Isle of Man Energy to solve the issue.
