Education and Children Minister Eddie Teare has revealed a major project in the pipeline.
It’s been identified that Ballacloan and Fairfield primary schools currently have outdated facilities; with this in mind plans are in place to amalgamate the two into one school for both juniors and pre-secondary pupils.
The old Nobles Hospital site has been earmarked as the location with work ongoing to clear the vast site.
Despite the current troubling economic climate Minister Teare said its important that projects like this are still given the funding needed to progress.
