Bride Commissioners say they're giving up Facebook after online abuse.
At a meeting in September, the local authority discussed a faulty defibrillator which needed a battery ordered from the UK.
But they said they were aware of a social media post about the issue as well as abuse and threats over it.
As a result, the board decided unanimously to "not use Facebook as a communication portal going forward".
