There are just 13 cells lying empty at the Isle of Man Prison, according to Justice and Home Affairs Minister Jane Poole-Wilson.
In Tynwald she was asked whether the prison was almost full by Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.
Mrs Poole-Wilson said in April last year, there were 90 people in jail but currently that figure is 128 - and the jail has just 141 cells.
