Organisers still hopeful for 2000 walkers
You have only a few more days left to get your entry in for this years Parish Walk.
This year the organisers have their minds set on breaking records, but if they’re to do that there is still a way to go before Sunday’s deadline.
Last year they had just over 1500 people start the race, the actual number of people who signed up is normally substantially higher, with a number of people dropping out for whatever reason.
Due to it’s growing popularity they’re set on reaching the 2000 target this time round.
Former Olympian Roger Black will be competing again this year, vowing to make it as far as Rushen.
If you fancy seeing how far you get on the 85-mile course you have until midnight Sunday, with entries taken here.
