A significant donation has been made to the Department of Health to enhance and improve the services provided by the Radiology Department at Noble’s Hospital.
The Manx Osteoporosis Society has donated £1,500.
Its enabled the Department of Health to upgrade its Dexa Scanner to the latest technical specifications.
The scanner is now able to automatically generate Frax scores, an individual assessment measuring a patient’s risk of having a facture. For patients at risk from osteoporosis, this is invaluable in their treatment planning.
