Over 1,000 signed up for 2016 Parish Walk

More than 1,000 walkers have signed up to take part in this year's Manx Telecom Parish Walk:

The 85-mile race walk takes place on June 18th - competitors have 24 hours in which to clock in at the Island's 17 parishes.

Last year Richard Gerrard stormed to victory setting a record time of 14 hours, 40 minutes and eight seconds.

The deadline for entries is May 8th - race director Ray Cox says there's still time left to prepare for the task ahead:
