Over 1,300 people affected by late payments

More than 1,300 people have been affected by late payments across the Island.

The figure was revealed in the House of Keys this week, following a question from Arbory, Castletown and Malew MHK Jason Moorhouse.

He asked how many times in the last three years there have been late benefit payments, and how many were affected as a result.

Treasury Minister Alf Cannan revealed although there had only been two late payments - 1,314 customers were affected.

It comes following a government dmin error earlier this month which resulted in some people getting their benefit payments late.
