Drugs Advice Service and Helpline DASH have sent a message out to parents to educate their children about the perils of drug and alcohol abuse.
The call has come to tie in with festival season which will see a lot of young people exposed to alcohol and particularly drugs for the first time.
The service promotes an informed and informal discussion as opposed to a lecture, with advice on hand for any parents needing it.
Shelly Stanley from DASH said whether you think it is right or wrong it’s a fact of life that drugs are readily available at these events so it’s better to be prepared.
