Building work has begun on a quiet room at Ronaldsway Airport.
The room is for cancer patients travelling to or from the UK for treatment - a similar room is being set up in Liverpool.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer says plans for the construction of the room started at the beginning of the year.
He says the room will make a big difference to those who are ill:
