The first steps in a major project to remove tens of thousands of tonnes of silt from Peel Marina are 'progressing well'.
That's according to the Department of Infrastructure as work is underway to build a temporary drainage pool up from the marina past the power station site.
Dredging is due to begin in March and between then and May this year its planned half of the 44,000 tonnes of silt in the marina will be removed.
The long-term initiative is currently scheduled to be finished in spring or summer 2022.
